On the vanity link, yes, every partner gets one, and it costs us next to nothing. The link is just their handle, bitword.co/hot105, bitword.co/ye, bitword.co/nadia. Under the hood it is one row mapping the slug to their account, and a lookup when someone visits. Storage is bytes and the lookup is a fraction of a cent, whether ten people use it or ten million.
The only real work is keeping that namespace clean, which is the same job we already do for @names and #hashtags: one owner per slug, first come, reserved system words blocked (bitword.co/login and the like), and a reclaim path if someone grabs a brand that is not theirs. So the cost is governance, not compute. In fact the vanity link and the handle can be the same thing, so claiming your name gives you your link for free.
The three questions every organization asks, answered short.
Why invite our people? Their names are first come. An organization that moves early hands every member their own name before strangers take them, and the recorded credit for the whole wave belongs to the organization.
Is this a pyramid? No. Nothing is bought, nothing is paid, and nothing is promised here. Reserving is free, referral credit is recognition by name, and any future program pricing is published and optional after the platform is live.
What does legal need to see? The site takes no money, stores no passwords, sends no email, and holds names non-bindingly under published rules, rightful owners keep preference. The full explainer pack, the same one we read, is public on this site.
